ART OSAKA 2009, a hotel art fair that we exhibit every year, was held at DIJIMA HOTEL in Osaka.

This year, we released 8 new works by Shoko Imano, staying in Rome at the Coming Artists Overseas Study Program of Cultural Affairs Agency.

Imano’s works give us the ambience as if we are surrounded by gentle air. We wanted audiences to experience the atmosphere in a hotel room, which has similarity to our home, so we made this exhibition in a one-man show style.

The hotel room that had white walls with natural light matched the works by Imano, which have delicate shade of color.

毎年出展しているホテルアートフェア ART OSAKA 2009 が大阪堂島ホテルにて開催されました。

本年は文化庁新進芸術家海外留学制度でローマに滞在している今野尚行の新作を8点発表いたしました。

今野尚行の作品が持つ空気に包み込まれるような空間を、日常空間に近いホテルの部屋というスペースで体感していただくため、 今回はあえて個展形式で展示いたしました。

白壁に自然光がさりげなく入るホテルの部屋は、今野のデリケートな色彩の作品にふさわしいものでした。
