パヴェル・トゥルンカ新作個展「Touches」

We held an exhibition of new works by Pavel Trnka [1948-], a Czech Glass Artist, in HIRO GALLERY, Ginza, Tokyo.

Pavel Trnka is a contemporary glass artist of Czech Republic that has a rich tradition of Bohemian glass and the great past artists. He is highly valued for making important artworks, including a monument for the station of Prague Metro, and holding many exhibitions all over the world. He stayed in Japan from 2004 to 2008, for teaching at the Toyama City Institute of Glass Art. Simply and precisely composed, his glass artworks reveal us various colors and textures that change infinitely according to the angle viewers are looking at from.

This was the second exhibition in HIRO GALLERY, Ginza, Tokyo since the first was held in 2005. We exhibited new works of 6 glass sculptures and 10 paintings. Thank you very much for visiting.

東京・銀座ヒロ画廊にてチェコのガラスアーティスト、パヴェル・トゥルンカ（1948- ）の新作個展を開催いたしました。

パヴェル・トゥルンカは、ボヘミアン・グラスの豊かな歴史を持ち多くの優れた作家を輩出してきたチェコの現代ガラスアーティストです。プラハ地下鉄の駅のためのモニュメント制作や、世界各地での展覧会開催など高く評価されています。２００４年から２００８年には富山ガラス造形研究所の客員教授として日本に滞在し多くの学生を指導しました。緻密かつシンプルに構成されたガラス作品は、覗きこむ角度によってその色彩と模様を無限に変化させます。

東京・銀座ヒロ画廊では２００５年以来２度目の展覧会となります。今回はガラス彫刻６点とペインティング１０点の新作をご紹介いたしました。ご来場誠にありがとうございました。
